Part 4:That's MY book!

Villains

• A Child of Winter who was peacefully reading a nice book in the library, when he was interrupted by a trampling horde of adventurers who paid no heed to him, tried to shoot the book, and proceeded to step all over his friends.

Oh, did we mention he was disguised as a roach at the time, and surrounded by a seething pond of roaches, not to mention the one really BIG roach that was his companion. It's enough to give someone a phobia!
The addition of this druid being able to cast spells in vermin form meant a lot of lightning bolts striking the heroes. Tick took the brunt of that, but with some of the party almost dead from their encounter with the Cloakers, things were a little exciting.

Moments of DOOM

• Ruby creating fire in a library full of books, when we weren't yet certain we had the right one.
• The druid-caused gust of wind blowing Qaxqiel down the elevator shaft to his certain sudden death, only to have his mechanical foot catch in the rungs of a ladder and tangle him there, bleeding out, for slow and gruesome death instead.
• Tick taking one too many bolts of lightning, and nearly shutting down

Notable Heroics

• Brannek hanging back to hold a choke point in the hallway, and try and keep the druid and his vermin at bay while the others struggled to open the doors.
• Brannek running back to grab a few more books from the burning library, just to be sure they didn't miss the one they were after.
• Codee jumping across the lift shaft, managing to climb down a blood-slicked ladder while holding the unconscious Qasq, and finally taking the brunt of a fall to the lift to make sure the wounded artificer didn't succumb to his injuries.
