Part 2:Dead Changelings
Villans
- Whomever or whatever killed those poor Changeling messengers
- Gouls deep in an excavated temple in the Mror Holds
Mmm. Paralyzing saliva
Moments of DOOM
- Brannek wakes up to a pounding on his door, and the local constabulary demanding an explanation for the very dead Changeling lying in a pool of blood outside his door.
- Qaxq reanimates the very dead changeling to try and sort out who killed him. Eeew.
- After finally getting the letter dead Changeling #1 was trying to deliver, they follow it's instructions to meet someone at a local restaurant, and are directed to a table where sits another very dead Changeling, with another letter, affixed to his forehead by means of a sharp crystal.
- Despite the several dead Changelings, Brannek eschews both safety and etiquette to go running off alone and find the man trying to meet with the Agency.
- Their newest contract sounds suspiciously exactly the same as the one that got Codee possessed and a Rakshasa chasing after them.
- Oh yes, and you can't forget the ghouls that tried to feast on our heroes after they finally made it to the Mror Holds.
Amusing Bits
- Brannek enters a tavern in a Karrnath border town, and begins toasting Thrane and insulting the locals. He finds himself very alone at the bar, drinking very watered down beer.
- Distancing herself from Brannek, Codee drinks a burly local under the table in a very 'Raiders of the Lost Arc' drinking contest moment. This fails to impress anyone enough to join her unfortunately diminshed band, however.
- Qaxq orders take-out from the snooty restaurant they were to meet someone in. After lots of condescending huffing, the order is brought out, and Qaxq says 'nevermind'.
- The poor butler at a local mansion is subjected to: 1) A messenger from the restaurant showing up to look for <insert name here> 1) Brannek bursting past him and tromping intrusively around the upstairs, also in search for <insert name here> 2) Qaxq and Codee arriving at the door minutes later, and finally making him lead them to <insert name here>. And they're all very poorly dressed.
