Lord Commander "Mad" Maximilian Reinhardt, the Chopper

Max, The Chopper

Stats

Chopper Moves

Pack Alpha: When you try to impose your will on your gang roll +hard. On a 10+, all 3. On a 7-9, choose 1:

  • they do what you want
  • they don't fight back over it
  • you don't have to make an example of one of them

On a miss, someone in your gang makes a dedicated bid to replace you for alpha.

Fucking thieves: when you have your gang search their pockets and saddlebags for something, roll+hard. It has to be something small enough to fit. On a 10+, one of you happens to have just the thing, or close enough. On a 7-9, one of you happens to have something pretty close, unless what you're looking for is hi-tech, in which case no dice. On a miss, one of you used to have just the thing, but it turns out that some asswipe stole it from you.

Gang The Holy Knights of The Christian Brotherhood Crusading Motorcycle gang. (2-harm gang medium 1-armor vulnerable:desertion)

Chopper Special

If you and another character have sex, they immediately change their sheet to say Hx+3 with you. ey also choose whether to give you -1 or +1 to your Hx with them, on your sheet.

Look

A man in scrounged up biker cloths with a weathered face and calculating eyes and a sturdy build. Wears a beat up long coat that might have been part of a military dress, but it's too worn out to tell. You'd think that in a past life he was in the army or something and he went through a ton of shit before the world went to hell.

Weapons

  • magnum (3-harm close reload loud) tucked in his breast pocket
  • machete (3-harm hand messy) in his side... treats it as a sword too when he "knights" gang members.

Bike

Guy doesn't mess around. His bike is both fast and rugged so you couldn't believe it's actually a re tuned vintage Harley Davidson. Only weakness you've heard about is that it guzzles gas like no tomorrow so his lordship doesn't like to take it out all the time.

Other Hx

Lena

Lena, like most folks, doesn't take our order very seriously Joshua. But she does good work, and she does it well. Even though she does not follow the word of our Lord, I find that she has the heart and soul of a Christian. She is one of the few people we can trust in this city. And out of the gangs that threaten our order, she is the only one I truly respect.

And yes, I know it's strange for me to trust someone who acts like a spy, but I can see a false heart in a person just by looking into their eyes.

A person's eyes are the windows into their souls. And Lena's eyes tell me that one day she and her followers join our little group. But for now, treat her as an ally, nothing more.

Bristo

He's appears to be a good man, like Lena. However, I don't particularly trust Bristo. Yes, he is a respected member of the community. And yes, he left and betrayed Stott for moral reasons. And while again, he's not particularly religious, my views and his don't contradict. So why, you might ask, don't I trust him?

Bristo claims he left Stott because they tried to force him to commit the act of rape against a 15 year old girl. Because of this he sabotaged Stott's gang and left. But I find this story a bit lacking in my opinion.

Bristo didn't seem to be phased by the previous murder and pillaging Stott and him engaged in before the incident with the girl. And even if the girl was the breaking point, why didn't Bristo try and rescue the prisoners and the girl? In fact, what was the name of this girl? What were the color of her eyes? What happened to her?

Every time I ask these questions to Bristo, either his answers change or his memory becomes a bit fuzzy. There is something about his story that he simply is not telling people.

This isn't to say that Bristo is a bad man. Since I've known him in Mudwater, he's proven to be reasonably honorable. But something in his eyes tells me he is hiding something Joshua. Perhaps his reasons for falling out with Stott are different then he claims, and he is trying to protect himself by playing to our sympathy. Or many, there's something about his story he is unwilling to face. A reality he's shut himself out too and he's simply repressed the memory.

When we capture Stott and persuade him to confess his sins, I intend to ask him about his side of the story.

But I am beginning to tangent.

What you need to know is we can deal with Bristo, but do not trust him.

Worm

Everyone in this city laughs at me. Either they do it in front of me like Lena and playfully call me "Mad Max" or they do it behind my back like Bristo who refers to me as an old cook when he thinks I cannot hear him. Both Lena and Bristo has stood up to me in the past. And while they were wrong to do so, I respect them for it. But Worm never laughs at me. Worm always appears to try and agree with me. In fact, Worm often tries to be my friend. I have found that Worm takes me very seriously. And in turn I take him seriously.

Worm would tell you that I am deeply impeded in superstition and my religious beliefs are why I think he's an abomination. I can respect a brainer. I've been friends with brainers. If God decides to grant a man a gift, it is my duty to respect that gift so long as he uses it for the cause of good. However Worm uses his power for himself.

And while he remains in power, we will have to work with him for the greater good. He is a necessary evil we will have to work with, for now, if we want to help the people of this god forsaken place.

Make no mistake, Worm rules this city and for now it will remain this way. We don't have to like it, but we must accept it. If he asks for our services, if they are just, we will lend them to him. If he we believe he is being wronged, we will help him. We must do this as I fear we cannot do our duty if we are all dead. And to cross Worm is death or something worse.

Worm claims that I am just paranoid and fear him because of his gift. And he would go on to say that I have no proof of his foul deeds. And while he has honored arrangements we have made and other people have claimed to deal with him fairly, I know that he has given few logical reasons to doubt his sincerity. But I know. I always know.

I have looked into Worm's eyes and seen darkness in his soul. Perhaps he isn't beyond redemption yet. He might need help handling his gift and the responsibility that comes with it. Maybe if he is away from Templeton's ill influence, he can become a good man again... perhaps a day may come when I can call him brother. But if not, when our time has come he will either accept the love that can only granted by God or we will have to deal with him as we will deal with you.

Yes, you.
