Ok, here goes, not sure how this is going to turn out, but let's try it and see.
First, since (hopefully) you'll be reading this on a regular basis, here's a bit of an introduction. On paper I am a computer science major, stuck in the infernal hell of "General Education" requirements, which are so general that they have absolutely nothing to do with computer science. In person, I am a geek. That's it, nothing else. No "if"s "and"s or "but"s about it. I really hate it when people cringe when I say "I am a geek." It really isn't such a bad thing to be. Just don't confuse me with a nerd, I find that VERY offensive for some reason.
People are always complaining to me about their "roommate from hell" (find a copy of the Henry Phillips song: "Roommate from Hell") that they have. Hell, I've even seen some of these roommates, and I concur. These people should either be drug out and shot, or just moved to another country, preferably somewhere colder and nastier than Canada. I mean, I was at my friend's place, and his roommate was listening to some rather nice sounding industrial techno, and I asked him "j0, what's that band?" and he turns around with a rather nasty look in his eye and replies "it's not a band, it's a producer!" Well, I managed to resist my urge to smack him and his cigarette smoking, skinny white ass out the door of his own room, and I scarpered from the room. Thank god that my roommate is possibly the coolest roommate ever. I may heckle him a lot, but it's all in good fun. The only thing that's getting old is his girlfriend. She's not so bad really, the only thing that really bugs me is her always complaining about how messy my side of the room is, or how I don't do any work, or how I'm always typing on my computer and shouting for them to keep their heavy petting down at the medium to low level. Either that, or being single has gotten to me more than I noticed.
Life is great. Aside from the fact that my computer is running terribly slow because of a recent onslaught of the FunLove virus and the Netlog.vbs worm, I am happy with my continued ability to watch DVD's and play music. These two things seem to be the backbone of my existence. Without them, I grow pissy and tend to be more random than usual. My current list of favorites includes the OST from Ah! Megami-sama! (a shout out to my j-pop friends!), the Rocky Horror Picture Show DVD(holy cow this movie is freaking hilarious, see it now!), Henry Phillips (This guy is hilarious, especially "Hit on the head by a brick," and "Hey, Mr. Postman!"), Berserk (a REALLY good anime series!), and the Red Alert 2 soundtrack (Hell March 2 baybee!).
I considered doing a webcomic a while back, but after careful deliberation, long hours of planning, and an attempt to learn more about perl, I found out I couldn't draw. Undaunted, I came up with what you see before you, a feeble attempt to ram my sometimes humorous thoughts down the collective throats of netizens everywhere. I mean, EVERYONE's doing it nowadays, ranting on and on about their boring lives and wondering "When is the net going to turn into a pretty pink bow that daddy will buy for me?." From piro and largo down at Megatokyo, to Tycho down at Penny-Arcade, from Scott Kurtz at PVPonline to my personal hero Fargo down at Gamespy. Ranting is the future, baby, and I hope to ride the bandwagon into the mud.
This is SMiH(SailorMercury is Hot), signing out.
